A daily dose of aspirin can cause bleeding in the brain, researchers have found. Brain scans on more than 1,000 patients revealed a 70 per cent higher incidence of microscopic bleeding among those taking the drug. Dr David Werring, honorary consultant neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, said: "More research is needed to decide whether these microbleeds raise the risk of serious bleeding in the brain in people."
Apparently this new data adds to know data about bleeding in stomach and intestines, in Aspirine treated patients.
